It is being reported that Apple is developing bigger screens with curved glass for its next line of smartphones.
Bloomberg says that the technology giant is moving to follow in the footsteps of rival Samsung – which revealed its own Galaxy Round last month.
Apple’s newest products are apparently likely to be released in the third quarter of 2013 and will also feature 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screens – the largest yet to be featured on any iPhone.
The jump in screen size would certainly see the iPhone’s appearance resemble something closer to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which boasts a larger 5.7-inch display.
Enhanced sensors which can be used to detect varying levels of pressure are also being tested, according to Bloomberg’s source – who is said to be “familiar with the plans”.
However, it is believed that this additional feature will not be ready in time for the next iPhone release.
Apple only unveiled its iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C in September – the first time that the US firm had launched two smartphone products at the same time.
