Toshiba’s latest tablet can now be pre-ordered in the US.
Customers can put their name down for the Toshiba Encore via Amazon, where it is priced at just under $330 (£206).
The 8-inch device runs on Windows 8.1 and is powered by an Intel Atom Bay Trail processor.
Toshiba revealed details of the product back in September, when a number of features were confirmed.
They include a 1280 x 800 pixel IPS display, 2 GB of RAM, WiFi connectivity and 32 GB of storage.
The Encore also boasts an 8MP camera placed on the rear and a 2MP camera on its front, dual microphones and a micro USB 2.0 port.
Users will also be able to access a full version of Office Home & Student 2013.
A statement released at the time said: “Encore is well-positioned to accelerate the market for Windows-based tablets by delivering software-optimised features and sleek hardware design at a competitive price point.”
Although the shipping date for the tablet is not yet known, Toshiba has moved to reassure consumers that it will be at some point this month.
