iPhone 6 rumoured for June release

The latest rumours suggest Apple’s next iPhone will be released in June this year.

While the three most recent iterations of the device have been released in the autumn, there is new speculation that the iPhone 6 will be launched earlier than normal, according to QQ Tech.

The report also suggests the new model will have a larger screen than the current iPhone 5s. Many other smartphones on the market have significantly bigger screens than Apple’s current four inches and it has been implied that iPhone 6 will follow suit with a screen size of 4.7 inches.

There is also an indication that the tech giant could release two models of the device simultaneously – as with the 5s and 5c – with one having a significantly larger screen up to 5.5 inches, making it more akin to a phablet.

Apple’s CEO Tim Cook did not give anything away when asked about the issue at the recent launch of the iPhone on the carrier China mobile last week.

However, he did say: “We have great things we are working on, but we want to keep them secret. That way you will be so much happier when you see it.”
