Dell unveils Precision M3800 mobile workstation

Dell has said that its new laptop is the “thinnest and lightest 15-inch true mobile workstation”.

The Dell Precision M3800 is just 18 mm thin and weighs 1.88 kg.

It also offers the highest resolution screen available, courtesy of a Quad HD+ display.

Executive director of Dell Precision workstations Andy Rhodes said: “As the traditional workplace continues to evolve, our workstation customers are requiring more portable systems, but can’t afford to sacrifice performance for their critical software applications.”

He added that he believed the model “set a new standard for mobile workstations”.

In terms of its design, the laptop comes in an aluminium frame and a carbon fibre chassis, making it both lightweight and durable.

The device is designed to allow users to seamlessly run both design and content creation applications, which is facilitated by its Intel Core i7 Quad-Core processor, ISV certifications and NVIDIA Quadro professional graphics.

It also benefits from up to ten hours and six minutes of battery life thanks to NVIDIA Optimus technology.

Pricing for the Dell Precision M3800 starts at £1,149 and will be available to purchase from November 14th.
