Apple 1 computer auction breaks Sotheby’s estimate

The Apple 1 computer that went up for auction at Sotheby’s was estimated to be sold around the £116,000 mark. However, considering it is only one of a handful of working Apple 1 computers it sold for just under double the estimated price at £240,000.

Not only was the estimated price broken but also set a record for the collectors item. There were only around 200 Apple 1 comptuers ever created, all of them hand-built by Steve Wozniak, Apple’s co-founder, and originally sold for £426.
