LG Optimus L5 set for UK and European release for later this month

The LG Optimus L5 is set to be released in the UK for some point in this month.

It has come to the attention of Laptops.co.uk that LG has confirmed that the LG Optimus L5, which includes the latest Android software, Android 4.0, will hit European, and more importantly UK, markets later this month.

The LG Optimus L5 was originally shown to the public back in February during MWC 2012 but has not yet made it to the retailer shelves.

The features of the LG Optimus L5 includes being just 9.5mm thick and the Android 4.0 is far more advanced than any other 4-inch HVGA smartphone. However, the rumour mill surrounding the iPhone 5, is increasing with ferocity and many of the features that have been confirmed on the LG Optimus L5 have been surpassed by the speculative features of the iPhone 5. However, once again, until the iPhone 5 is released, which is supposedly set for release in Autumn 2012, nothing can be confirmed. If we turn our attention back to the LG Optimus L5 we will find it comes with an 800MHz single-core processor, 4GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot, as well as including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity. All in all the handset is mediocre to say the least.
