Asus appears set to launch its new 15-inch Zenbook Touch U500VZ in the near future.
Hot Hardware reports that the manufacturer has set up a product website for the laptop, which is likely to be a full-size notebook boasting a full touch panel.
It is anticipated the machine will debut in Las Vegas next week and comes as the emergence of Windows 8 means touch panels on portable computers are likely to become increasingly common.
The new Zenbook Touch U500VZ from Asus – which takes its name from the winged horse Pegasus in Greek mythology – is expected to include an Intel Core i7-3632QM and a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M GPU.
In addition, the product is likely to feature two 256GB SSDs within it, as well as a 15-inch LCD as an IPS panel and a number of USB 3.0 ports along the sides.
Hot Hardware explained those interested in purchasing the computer will have to wait a while before learning how much the product will set them back, as pricing information and other details have not yet been released.
