Asus’ full HD Android-powered tablet priced at £599

Asus’ Transformer Pad Infinity, the latest in Asus’ line of tablets with fancy keyboards, will be out in the UK from 31st August 2012 for £599.

Kitted out with a Tegra 3 quad-core processor, Asus’ own SonicMaster technology and metallic spun finish, the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity seems fast and slick, but the ‘cherry on top’ is the Full HD 1920 x 1200 Super IPS+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 makes it the world’s first Full HD Android tablet, setting ‘a new benchmark for mobile entertainment’.

‘It’s not all play with the ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity though as the unique detachable Mobile Dock accessory transforms it from a tablet into a notebook.’

‘When docked, total battery life is rated at 14 hours and productivity is increased with the full QWERTY keyboard, multi-touch touchpad and USB/SD card ports.’

The Transformer Pad Infinity looks like another iPad contender but should stand a greater chance than any other its other rivals as it boasts a Full HD display.
