Surface Laptop models typically feature touchscreen displays, while Surface Pro is built around touchscreen use. This can make it easier to navigate Windows, scroll through documents, use touch-based applications and, on compatible Surface Pro models, use a digital pen.
The exact touchscreen and pen capabilities can vary by model. For example, newer Surface Laptop configurations may not support pen input, so check the product listing if stylus use is important to you.
