Not always. Surface Pro is often sold without a keyboard, as the keyboard is available as a separate accessory or may be included only in a specific bundle.

If you intend to use Surface Pro for regular typing, you will usually want a compatible Surface Pro keyboard. Microsoft states that Surface Pro keyboards are sold separately and that compatibility can vary by device size and generation.
