Haier and Tobii unveil eye controlled TV

A television that can be controlled with just the human eye was been unveiled at Berlin’s IFA trade show.
The TV uses technology that was developed by Tobii, a Swedish firm, that ensures users can control the TV by staring at the top and bottom of the TV to activate user-interface.
The user can change the volume, switch channel and carry out other functions by simply looking at icons shown on the display.
Even though the technoloyg is still in its infancy with the Gaze TV being a prototype the technology could offer a great alternative to the traditional remote control.
