Apple iPad Mini set to compete against Google’s Nexus 7

Apple are set to release a smaller brother for the iPad, the iPad Mini. It will be a smaller, cheaper tablet that will include a screen between 7 and 8 inches and will be in direct competition with the likes of Google’s Nexus 7.

The device will be a smaller version of Apple’s much loved iPad and would be set for release in Autumn to coincide with the release of the iPhone 5 and in time for Christmas.

Apple are certainly secretive about its technical innovations and rumours regarding any of their products but it seems likely that the iPad Mini will be surely set for release this year in order to compete against cheaper tablets such as Google’s Nexus 7 that only costs £159 in comparison to the New iPad that costs around £369.

However, the release of an Apple iPad Mini would be directly against Steve Jobs wishes who believed that such a small screen would not be able to clearly express Apple’s software.
