Huawei have unveiled what they claim to be the world’s thinnest smartphone at 0.24inches thick and incorporates a 5 megapixel front camera for self-portraits. In addition, the phone includes ‘auto-facial enhancement software’ designed to make self-portraits (or selfies) look better.
In other words, Huawei have capitalised on the growing trend of selfies by incorporating a high-quality front facing camera. Huawei, a Chinese firm, are hoping this handset works miracles for its brand.
The device comes with a 4.7inch screen and weighs as little as 120g, only 8g more than the iPhone 5. The phone features Huawei’s own operating system dubbed ‘Emotion’.
Other specifications include an 8megapixel rear camera, 8GB of internal storage and a 1.5GHz quad core processor.
More importantly, the handset will retail below price for the latest Apple iPhone. On the other hand, the device does not support 4G unlike the Apple iPhone. Nonetheless, Huawei’s latest smartphone, the P6, will be on sale from July with a recommended price of £385.
