Apple’s App Store has seen the emergence of a new force in town – Google’s Chrome browser.

It took days after its release for Google’s Chrome browser to storm to the top of the App Store chart, becoming the top free app for both iPhone and iPad. This allows users to bring their Chrome internet experience to their much beloved iDevices.

The release of Google’s Chrome browser into the Apple App Store is another attack on Apple’s iOS platform, along with the release of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, Google’s first own-branded tablet, the Nexus 7, as well as a response to Apple dropping Google Maps from iOS6.
